This class provides a creative and positive way to identify and process our emotions using color therapy, watercolors, ink and mixed media. Through the course of our classes together we will:
● identify and practice different watercolor techniques
● explore collage’ and mixed media techniques in journaling
● make one 9 x 12 watercolor and ink piece of artwork
● learn techniques to begin art journaling with creative backgrounds and simple binding methods
● start the process of understanding your unique mark-making patterns and what they mean to you
● learn to use colors to identify, interpret and release your feelings
These techniques will get you started on your creative journey and provide you with a safe space to process your emotions. If you are currently working with a therapist, this process will enhance your visits through discussions of your art journaling practice in between sessions.

Artwork: In 2025 my show, “Unveiled: The Art of Healing” , was featured in the gallery at the Art League of Lincoln. I create abstract watercolor and ink paintings that show my process of working through the pains of my past. My artwork is a testament to the transforming action of using colors, mark-making and poetry to process my emotions. It has played an important part of my healing journey in becoming who I am today.
