Description

Slow down, soften, and create in a welcoming space designed for comfort and connection. This relaxed crochet class is open to all skill levels. Beginners can learn basic stitches and start a small project, while experienced crocheters are invited to bring a current project or one they feel stuck on and would like help completing.

Yarn and hooks will be available, and participants are encouraged to move at their own pace. With gentle guidance and a supportive atmosphere, this class offers an opportunity to unwind, focus the mind, and experience the soothing, repetitive rhythm of crochet while connecting with others.

Our classes and programs are funded by grants, sponsors, donors and clients who are paying it forward. Cancer can be expensive; we do not want finances to be a barrier to accessing our valuable programming. Pay-as-you-can with a suggested donation amount per class of $10-$25.

About the Instructor:

Susan learned to crochet from her grandmother when she was in second grade and has loved the craft ever since. She is drawn to the calming rhythm of the stitches, the soothing feel of soft yarn, and the quiet satisfaction of creating something by hand. Over the years, she has made blankets, scarves, hats, mittens, cardigans, and small gifts for loved ones. Susan finds deep joy in sharing the art of crochet and helping others discover its relaxing, creative, and meditative qualities.
