Art Class - In Person

This month's project will be a trio of coastal landscapes painted with watercolors, exploring both literal and abstract interpretations. 

Class Description: Join Julie in painting a trio of coastal landscapes, exploring both abstract and more literal interpretations with watercolors. Absolutely no experience is necessary, and everybody's artwork will be unique! She'll share different techniques to help you create three seascapes of varied design; this is a chance to explore and experiment with freedom!

About the Instructor: Julie Reed started The Curious Brush in 2016 to encourage students to explore art, experiment with different materials, and create in new ways. The experience matters as much as the masterpiece! She's an encourager of first attempts and second tries, and believes the very process of creating helps people relax, express emotion, solve problems, and feel brave and successful. She teaches at her art studio in Folsom and at local schools, and in 2022 she became a cancer survivor. 

This class is held in person at the Wellness Within Center.

Our classes and programs are funded by grants, sponsors, donors and clients who are paying it forward. Cancer can be expensive; we do not want finances to be a barrier to accessing our valuable programming. Pay-as-you-can with a suggested donation amount per class of $10-$25.
