About the Class:
Come play with ideas and words in this poetry workshop. We will explore the power of writing to understand ourselves and our experiences and to bring joy to our everyday lives. We will read selected contemporary poems and use these works as springboards for the creation of our poems. The atmosphere will be supportive, non-judgmental and encouraging—the perfect place for beginning writers curious about the possibilities of poetry in their lives. Designed for writers of all levels.
Our classes and programs are funded by grants, sponsors, donors and clients who are paying it forward. Cancer can be expensive; we do not want finances to be a barrier to accessing our valuable programming. Pay-as-you-can with a suggested donation amount per class of $10-$25.
